  i was driving home the other evening pondering the past couple of turbulant years for me and my family.

  i reflected back on my appointment as a ministerial servant and my attitude, beliefs and thinking at the time.

  i thought about the subsequent misery that being a servant brings once the the glow wears off and people stop "commending you on your fine spiritual progress.

  Good news, finally regarding my ex-elder-pedophile-father-in-law...

  about two weeks ago he was arested in bc, about 35 years too late thanks to wts cover-up.. he had a baby with my ex-husband's sister - my kids have a cousin who is also their aunt.

  this was all covered up by moving from ontario to bc back in the early 1980s, and it all being hidden by the wts; even allowing this guy to serve as an elder after the fact...when i got married to my ex, his father was an elder, and the baby of the incest was 15. .

  today and from now on, hopefully things will unravell for the wts in canada, as he sits in jail in ontario (where the crimes were committed)charged on 24 counts of sexual abuse.. i hope there is a lot of embarrassment going on in that congregation in ladner, bc when all this originally came to light about 28 years ago, the congregation that let this man become an elder...because, my own parents seem to be in "cover-my-ass" mode when it comes to talking about this matter with me..

  You surely cannot be serious!

  What would you do, then:

  - let this abomination roam free, so that he can go on preying defenseless children?

  He is up on 24 charges - and these are only the ones they know about. How many other such crimes has he committed?. And more importantly, how many more would he commit if allowed to go free, as you are suggesting?

  What sort of a s*&t country would take no action against such a hazard to the community? When he gets locked up, I hope that they throw the bloody key away!

  2011 Yearbook= BEARDS are still for non-Witnesses ONLY!!!! Beard Fear?

  1960's the watchtower pictures showed jesus clean shaven and with short hair {watch 1954 p.511 "why do watchtower books now show jesus with short hair and no beard?

  ....because he is shown that way in representations that are older than the traditional effeminate looking pictures..."}.

  yearbook 2011 p.57 "a bearded man named eric showed up at a congregation in the united states {oh god a bearded man!!!

  Just as an aside to this one:

  - if p.117 of the yearbook does actually use the term "Papa Nu-Guinea", then the level of education amongst the JWs has indeed plumbed to new depths!

  Ever since gaining independence in 1975, that country has been known as "Papua New Guinea." Previously, it was known as the Territory of Papua and New Guinea; and prior to 1945, it consisted of (i) Papua (which was Australian territory), and (ii) the Mandated Territory of New Guinea (a former German colony, Australian-administered after WWI, under a League of Nations Mandate).

  But "Papa Nu-Guinea" - never!

  p.117 Papua New Guinea:

  - Having lived there for long enough, I know for a fact that most Papua New Guinean men wear beards. This includes their previous (and long serving) Prime Minister, Michael Somare; as well as most of the country's top business and professional men.

  Yet, true to form, the JWs enforce the no beards rule in that country, too.

  Of the printable names that I have heard put forward , "Freddie the Fraud" is the best one I have heard yet!

  here is the excerpt.. suicides and attempted or threatened suicides.

  Ref: Reliance on Blue collar workers in life-threatening situations:

  While often-times practical experience can - to a degree at least - offset for lack of formal qualifications, dealing with suicidal people is not one of those situations!

  Murphy's Law No.7 reads "Experience gained is in direct proportion to the amount of equipment destroyed" (incidentally, something that I - as a busted @$$ electrician, who is sometimes thrust into an engineering role - can relate to!):

  - When you are dealing with human life, though, you simply don't have that luxury (i.e. of being able to "destroy equipment").

  Being able to run a faultless vertical or overhead arc-weld is of no use whatsoever in handling a person who has tried to commit suicide (all of 20 years old when this happened):

  - nor, for that matter, is consistently putting in a Field Service Report with 10 or more hours in that column entitled "Hours!"

  On reading this, I felt my flashpoint lower itself by several tens of degrees Celsius!:

  - it brought back painful memories of the rough way in which my daughter was treated by the elders, after her attempted suicide (an event brought about by the death by accident of her 16 year old brother).

  Held in judgement by a panel of "The Unlettered and Ordinary" (consisting of a boilermaker, a swimming pool cleaner, and the inevitable window cleaner), they nearly completed what her brother's death had initiated.

  What else can you expect from a lot that cares not one jot for the welfare of the R&F!
